One of the most important things we can do to advance the cause of Christ’s kingdom in the work of OPC foreign missions is to pray for our missionaries and for the indigenous churches with which they work (2 Cor. 1:11).
We present this list on the occasion of the Day of Prayer and Fasting so that the magnitude of the work will be seen, and therefore, the great need for additional missionaries.
Please pray for us as we adjust to being back up in the far NE corner of our nation of service. Pray for physical and mental preparations for a new job at a new school and for a new apartment.
For evangelistic ministry, please ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of the lost who will hear the good news, and as they come to faith, that we can integrate them into one of the local church families, or even gather a new church.
For leadership encouragement and training, please ask the Lord to use Sam in gathering the five ministers of our little Reformed presbytery for fellowship. Pray for pastors Mr. Roh at Speak the Truth Reformed Church, Mr. Choi at Holy Covenant, and Mr. Pahng starting a new ministry.
Ask that God would use Sam’s ministry to men in the church to prepare elders—the next vital step in the regularization of churches and of the presbytery. Pray for Seth, Oh, and Kim.
Ask especially for Mr. Hunter and Mr. Cho and the ministry of Grain of Wheat Church which will begin new second-language worship services under Mr. Hunter in September.
Finally, pray for us to come to a clearer understanding of the future ministry to which God is calling seminarian Mr. Huh. He is completing studies in a year’s time.
Working online from the USA with indigenous church leaders, helping them to organize presbyteries and to prepare for licensure and ordination.
Please pray for the physical, mental, and spiritual challenges faced by the ministers of the forming Presbyterian church as they face intimidation by authorities every Lord’s Day.
Please pray for the work of discipling and examining men in Asia for ordained ministry.
Pray that qualified men may not meet hindrances of various kinds to their ordinations.
Pray for those in the church who have been imprisoned or detained for their faith.
Pray that the Lord would give Mike wisdom in organizing a fellowship for several pastors which woul serve as a kind of general assembly despite the many challenges and dangers of meeting together.
Please pray for the Church in countries where believers are persecuted. Pray for perseverance in suffering and imprisonment. Pray for the training of their pastors. Pray for the Lord to transform hearts and use their nation’s leaders for the good of Christ’s servants.
Church planting in Port-au-Prince and working to establish a presbytery for the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Haiti.
Please pray that the Lord would bring political and economic stability in Haiti and that violent gang activity would cease. Pray for the preservation of life.
Pray for the physical safety and security of church members, many of whom are barricaded in neighborhoods. Pray for them as they travel or are forced to leave their homes in dangerous areas.
Pray that the church will seek comfort in Christ and his Word during these trying times.
Pray for the church’s ministry to unbelievers and to the children in the community that many would come to trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Pray for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Octavius and Marie.
Assisting with homeschooling of missionary children in Karamoja, teaching Karimojong women. Supporting a church plant in Karamoja.
Pray that the Lord would raise up brothers and sisters in Christ in the Nakaale church who are willing to live each day striving to intentionally worship the Lord through each task He calls them to.
Pray that the Lord would provide more church leaders and missionaries to encourage the flock in their day-to-day activities, stay with the members through the hard times, cry with hope at the burial of family members, and can be physically present even when the other person is in great physical pain and cannot interact much.
Pray that the Lord would provide more mature Christians who will talk with parents and show them how to nurture their children in the Lord in a place where children are usually expected to raise themselves.
Pray that the Lord would encourage the missionaries in Karamoja with confidence in God’s good purposes as the Nakaale church experiences a time of hard testing with people coming under discipline or leaving the church (Heb. 12:11-13).
Pray that when we are tired, we will remember the Lord’s promise that He uses the weak things of the world to show His power and might.

Pray for a missionary evangelist for Karamoja and two for Mbale. While we praise God for all we have seen Him do in both locations, we realize that there is still much work here that He is calling us to.
Pray that those the Lord calls would also be equipped and blessed to bear much fruit, and would “show themselves in all respects to be a model of good works, and in their teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned” (Titus 2:7-8).
Pray for Travis and missionary associate Josh Grimsley (both ordained OPC elders) as they support Pastor Julius Mukhwana and the Nakaale Presbyterian Church.
Pray that the Gospel would go forth with great power and many might be saved.

Pray that the Lord would raise up two long-term missionary-evangelists this year to work in Mbale.
Pray for Charles and Connie as they finish their missionary service in Uganda at the end of this year.
Pray for Charles as he directs a new building project at Knox School of Theology (KST) to expand the administration and student dormitory facilities. Pray for Professor Okuch Andrew as he oversees the day-to-day construction.

Pray that the Timothy Discipleship sponsored students would grow in faith, commitment to the Great Commission, and have clear direction in what comes next.
Pray for the women at Nakaale Presbyterian Church as they study Philippians and seek to understand what it means “to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Please ask the Lord to use all the crucial humanitarian aid passed on through “Crates for Ukraine” to bring the people of Ukraine to faith in Christ, deep repentance, and spiritual healing.
Pray for the protection of the church under the physical, emotional and spiritual onslaughts of Satan.
Pray for the Lord to use the current war and a future peace to build His church in Ukraine—and beyond its borders.
Pray for new church planters and new churches to be planted, especially once the war ends.
Pray for a new generation of church and ministry leaders, in particular elders, deacons, pastors, and leaders for college and teen ministries.
Pray for the development of Christian leaders and institutions in the fields of medicine and education, and for the growth and strengthening of the Reformed/Presbyterian seminary in Kyiv.
Ask the Lord to raise up a variety of godly, teachable missionaries with servant hearts who could train people, model ministry, love others, and be a living example of the Christian life, thereby building up the church in Ukraine.
Evangelism and church planting in the cities of Montevideo and Maldonado. Working towards forming a Reformed Presbyterian Church in Uruguay.
Please pray that the Lord would raise up a faithful Uruguayan man for the pastoral office to meet the needs of the Reformed and Presbyterian Church in Uruguay.
Pray that experienced OPC pastors and teachers, already fluent in Spanish, would come to help equip Uruguayan men for the pastoral office.
Pray for additional Spanish-speaking missionary-evangelists to plant other Reformed and Presbyterian churches in Uruguay.
Please pray that the Lord would bring more missionaries and missionary associates to Uruguay.
Pray for Erica as she teaches Sunday School in Spanish, a language less familiar to her. Pray that the Holy Spirit will use these efforts to bring the children to the Lord.
Pray for Lucas as he works on the technical end of providing Reformed resources in Spanish online and that the Lord might use these resources to bring people to the church.
Pray for us as we support the Bible study in Maldonado and that the Lord would be pleased to plant a church there.
Based in Mbale, Uganda, Ben serves as the Regional Foreign Missionary (RFM) to Africa and Haiti.
Please pray that the Lord would lead Ben as he investigates possible new fields of service in Africa for the missionaries being raised up to serve God.
Pray for new opportunities for men from the OPC to join Ben as he teaches church leaders throughout Africa as part of the Mobile Theological Mentoring Corps (MTMC). Ask the Lord to use these teaching trips to encourage men to consider full-time service on a foreign field.
Ask God to use the theological training of local church leaders to grow the indigenous churches.
Pray that the Lord would use the graduates of Knox School of Theology (KST) in their places of pastoral service in East Africa.
Pray for Ben as he follows up with the KST graduates and makes connections with their churches.
Pray for the Ethiopian Mercy Reformed Church (EMRC) (formerly the Ethiopian Reformed Presbyterian Church) that the Lord would provide for their needs during civil unrest and economic inflation. Pray that a permanent worship facility can be secured for the church in Addis Ababa. Pray for pastoral training.
Pray for the African Evangelical Presbyterian Church (AEPC) that the Lord would bless this sixty-two-year-old denomination with a desire to be self-consciously Reformed as it sets an example to younger Presbyterian and Reformed churches. Pray for their pastoral training.
Pray for the Sudanese Reformed Church (SRC) that the Lord would provide for their needs especially for safety of travel between cities, pastoral training, and outreach in the refugee camps.

Pray for the Reformed Church of Quebec (L’Eglise Reformee du Quebec, ERQ)– Please pray that the Lord would raise up men to be trained for gospel ministry and that the lost would be reached in Quebec.
