We share a building with Peoria Chinese Christian Church at 10039 N. Garden Lane, Peoria, IL 61615
There is a parking lot in front of the building that you are able to park in.
We are a Reformed Presbyterian church. This means we are a bit more traditional in our liturgical worship service, but we strive to have a loving and casual feel at the same time. We want to worship God with our hearts and minds in an intentional and passionate way.
We practice a responsive liturgy that is like a conversation with God. He speaks, then we respond. Then He speaks again and we respond again. This means there's a lot of back and forth between hearing from Scripture then responding with singing, prayers, and creeds.
While many churches will begin with a few worship songs then a sermon, we sing in response to hearing from God throughout the whole worship service. Though it may be in a format that is different than you might be used to, we love to sing with our whole hearts all through service singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. . (For more information about why our liturgy is like this, please see our beliefs section).
We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday. You don't need to be Presbyterian to join us in the Lord's Supper, but it is reserved for baptized Christians in good-standing in a Bible-believing Church.
We sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Largely, we sing the songs you'll find in the Trinity Psalter Hymnal. You can take a look at what is in the hymnal here.
We love to see our kids in worship with us. They are our younger brothers and sisters in the Lord and the best place for them to be is worshiping God right next to us!
There is currently no nursery during worship, however there is a nursery room down the hall if you have fussy little ones and hungry nursing babies. You're also welcome to walk in the foyer area.
We have church members who wear anything from casual jeans and a t-shirt to a suit or a nice dress. Feel free to wear what is comfortable for you.
We would love to welcome you into our community. Beyond our Sunday Morning Worship, we have a Tuesday evening Bible Study, monthly Potluck, Men's Group, and Youth Group. We are working on getting a women's group up and going soon.
When you're ready to join our local church, we would love to invite you into church membership.
